If you’re like me, you want to get the most bang for your monies with shopping for the holidays.
If you’re like me, you get to the biggest sale week of the year and your mind goes completely blank as far as what to actually purchase.
If you’re like me and love posts with lists of favorites and wishes for all the gifting inspiration, here you go!

First the faves in our house:

A big gift for a mixed age group of kids.

Our absolute bestest toy.  Cannot.  Recommend.  Enough.

A multipurpose wavee board the kids have used for everything (including riding down the stairs until I nixed it)

Some great Catholic picture books like this, this, or this. (Perfect for godchildren!)

A family game for all ages.

All the Mad Libs.

Anything Aquarellum for painting.

An engaging book that Cee has usefully quoted to me several times.

Now the things we’ve been eyeing:

A family game.

A wool blanket for every room in the house.  (Except maybe the bathroom.)

Beautiful wool garland for every season.

Wool socks for the kids.  And us.  (I’m sort of on a wool kick…)

Everything from Home Science Tools.  (They have owl pellet dissection kits for $4.30.  How’s that for an awesome stocking stuffer for your science geek?!?!)

For the kids to keep busy in the car.

Nativity cookie cutters.

A floral embroidery kit.

It’s a cape! It’s a tent! It’s a wedding veil!.

This manly mug.

The STEM kit that ev’body seems to have.

A back pack that is sturdy enough for multiple stainless steel waterbottles, diapers/wipes, and a change of clothes for the babies.  Maybe like this??  But in the watercolor canvas fabric?

As far as Thanksgiving goes, we’re still not sure of our plans as the kids seem to be on a rollercoaster of cold symptom severity.  Either we’ll be spending quality time with extended family, or we’ll be at home eating frozen pizza because I’ve spent the last week cleaning out our fridge of anything perishable, and the store is closed.   Fingers crossed!!!

Hope your Thanksgiving is filled with good conversation, laughter, and plenty of pie!

Snap Circuits is awesome – if you get it, your kids will love it. Even my 4 year old can follow the directions and make simple circuits. The bigger kids love it too.
I’ll have to look into your suggestions. The PlusPlus look cool but I don’t know if I can take having one more building kit in the house…

Oh my gosh, I’ve been struggling with what to tell my mom to get our 6yo and the construction building set is perfect! Totally putting the snap circuits on my wishlist for him for the future.
