41 Pounds

Several people have asked how Cee is doing weight-wise, and I’ve honestly told them that I’m not sure.  I haven’t wanted to be disappointed if she’s not making progress even with eating more.  So I haven’t checked until today.  Apparently she’s up to 41 pounds from her 38.  🙂  Guess that means we’ll have a little less, “Sure!  Goldfish and Cheetos sound great for lunch!”  and a little more, “If you’re really hungry, this apple will be just fine.”

Her rash is still visible, and the rheumatologist wants us to go in to her regular doctor.  Cee hate, hate, hates doctor appointments, so I’ve been procrastinating about scheduling her an appointment.

We went to the eye doctor today.  Juvenile arthritis can cause eye inflammation.  Left untreated it can result in blindness, so we wanted to get that checked out right away.  I promised Cee there would be no needles or pokes or even stethoscopes!  Before her exam, Catherine was sure to tell the receptionist, the technician, and the eye doctor, “I don’t need glasses, I can see just fine,” which was hilarious.  Turns out she was right, though.  Her vision is fine, and there’s no inflammation yet.  Whoo hoo!
