Messy Family Podcast
A Catholic couple gives practical real-life ways to parent and raise children in the faith. My kids are not perfect. Neither am I. This causes problems. Parenting would be so much easier if my kids just acted like the little good behavior robots sometimes I assume they should be! I appreciate the insight I’ve gained from listening to these episodes!
Listen to Yelling– The Lazy Approach to Parenting

The Minimal Mom Youtube Channel
A friend mentioned this channel, and since I’ve watched almost all her videos. I’ve always been anti-mucho-stuff, but Dawn’s ideas about how much peace comes with not having oodles of things taking up brain and life space have given me motivation to simplify even more.
Watch Trick to Organize Kids Toys in 20 Minutes

The Lanky Guys
These guys go through the upcoming Sunday’s Mass readings. It’s like a pre-homily. They are new-to-me, but David has enjoyed following along for months now.

darci isabella Youtube Channel
This minimalist mama of 10, homesteader, and homeschooler covers all aspects of joyful big family living. Darci offers healthy recipes, DIY building projects, and simplifying tips. And clips of her chickens.
Watch The Cost of Raising a Child

Songland on NBC
The show gives undiscovered songwriters a chance to have their song professionally produced and sung by a famous artist. A perfect “doing dishes and laundry” after the kids have gone to bed show, I like the peek into the creative process, even though there have been many of the “famous musicians” that I didn’t know at all, and several musical genres that are not my cup of tea.

Bring the Funny
Another good laundry show with a wide variety of comedy. Like most shows these days, I definitely wouldn’t watch this until the kids were tucked away in bed, but it’s perfect for unwinding while folding socks.

Home (PG)
We borrowed this and watched it as a “family movie.” I saw the first bit and the end. The middle– I napped. So I can’t vouch for that. But David said it was fine. The kids are still giggling about the funny way the Boovs (non-scary aliens) say things. FYI, the humor includes moments like a Boov brushing his teeth with the toilet brush and the action involves some peril.

That’s seven things to listen to or watch, so I’ll link up with Kelly for SQT!

What have you been watching or listening to that I should check out?

I had been listening to Schole Sisters while folding laundry but it was too brain intense, so a couple nights ago I turned on a Jim Gaffigan special and that was muy muy entertaining!

I’m intrigued by the Messy Family podcast… may have to give that one a try!
