A Clorox Day

,

Elle had a stomach bug all day today, so I made friends with Mr. Clorox Wipes.  It was an interesting switch in the dynamics of the house to have Cee doing okay, but Elle sick.  I think it was good for the girls to see that the grass really isn’t greener on the other side.  Hopefully the lesson has been learned, though, and we can get back to normal tomorrow.

Cee had been complaining of pain in her knees, but that’s gone now.  Her left hand has been bothering her for the past two days, but it hasn’t made too much of a difference since she’s right handed.  Her rash still comes and goes.  We’ve started a list of questions for when we see the rheumatolgist next.  Whether the perpetual rash is normal or not is on the list.

I’m nervous to go back to Mayo.  I’m afraid the rheumatologist will say the Naproxen isn’t strong enough and we’ll have to upgrade to steroids.  I’m afraid he’ll say conclusively that we’ve moved from Reactive Arthritis (isolated incident)  to Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (long-term).  I’m even a little afraid that he’ll say he thinks there’s something else going on, and we’ll need to go through more testing.

Please keep praying that Cee continues to get better.  I’d love to get to a time when the stomach bug is the worst health issue we deal with.
